Senate race again shows true colors
To call the state Senate District 46 race spirited might be an understatement, especially as it built a full head of steam in the final days leading up to the primary.

The results are in for South Carolina primary
One highly contested race was for the state senate seat for our area. Incumbent Catherine Ceips lost to challenger Tom Davis.

Low Country voters hit the polls
Voters in South Carolina are hitting the polls today in a number of heated party primary races. Beaufort County Election officials say they've had a steady flow of voters throughout the day, but not as good as they were hoping for.

A twenty-three year resident of Beaufort County, Tom Davis is a successful local attorney at Harvey & Battey and former Chief of Staff to South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford.
One of the key architects of the governor’s two successful statewide election wins, Davis has served as an indispensable policy, legislative and political advisor to Sanford in Columbia
While in the governor’s office, Tom was instrumental in passing South Carolina’s charter school reform bill. He is also a former member of the S.C. State Ports Authority.
He also led our state’s successful negotiations to build a deep water port with Georgia on our side of the Savannah River in Jasper County.
